High School Math and Competition Tutor
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic tutor to support high school students in mathematics and math competitions. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and confident in explaining concepts in a clear and engaging way.
Responsibilities
Tutor students in high school math (Grades 9-12), including Functions, Advanced Functions, Calculus, and Data Management, as well as AP or IB courses Prepare students for math competitions (e.g., AMC, Waterloo contests, Math Kangaroo) Develop personalized study plans and practice problems tailored to each student Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
Qualifications
Strong academic background in mathematics or a related field At least 5 years of previous tutoring or teaching experience preferred Familiarity with major math competitions and problem-solving strategies Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and support students
