What does a Security Guard in Edmonton do?

• Interior and exterior patrols
• Conducting daily functions of the security unit including access control, security escorts, responding to calls for service and report writing/note taking
• Performing property inspections and enforce property laws, client rules, and other regulations
• Provide keys and temporary pass to visitors/employees
• Liaising with visitors, customers. and the general public on a consistent basis
• Providing customer service information and assist in handling the questions of visitors
• Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through positive teamwork

Qualifications to become a Security Guard in Edmonton?

• Valid Alberta Security Guard license
• Strong computer skills
• Customer service oriented
• Must be available any day of the week for 12-hour rotational shifts either days or nights
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a stressful environment
• Be comfortable removing unauthorized individuals from the property
• Ability to stand on foot and walk for long periods of time
• Good verbal and written communication skills- High level of English is required
