Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics and Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. This role involves providing individualized support to students to enhance their understanding.
Duties
Teach mathematics concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus, ensuring all students grasp essential skills. Provide tutoring and additional support for students who may need extra help in understanding concepts Create a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Assess student progress through observations, providing constructive feedback to facilitate improvement. Collaborate with other educators enhance the overall educational experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Previous classroom experience is highly desirable, with a proven track record of effective teaching strategies. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience in tutoring or providing one-on-one support is a plus. Familiarity with special education practices is beneficial for accommodating diverse learners.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
Work Location: In person
