BNRC is expanding our HIFIS program.

We are hiring for a HIFIS Coordinated Access Specialist.

Overview:



The BNRC HIFIS Coordinated Access Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of the Coordinated Access System in Brandon and surrounding rural areas of Manitoba. The HIFIS Coordinated Access Specialist will ensure that the By Name List is updated regularly and will work with HIFIS Partner Agencies and community stakeholders to streamline the prioritization, triage, and housing process.

Willing to travel and meet with agencies in rural Manitoba.

Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle required.

Able to work autonomously.

Self-motivated.

Detail-oriented.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Able to problem solve and navigate systems effectively.

Able to maintain confidentiality.

Qualifications:



Post-secondary education in social services or equivalent life experience.

Experience with PHIA considered an asset.

Experience working in the homeless services sector or with vulnerable populations is an asset.

Exercises discretion, empathy, and maintains confidentiality.

Ability to work effectively as a team and independently, with knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity, particularly Indigenous culture.

A dependable team member with the capacity to learn quickly.

Duties:



Lead the Coordinated Access weekly meetings and participates within an evidence-based, Housing First philosophy.

Develop and provide ongoing support to the Coordinated Access system in Brandon, including the maintenance of the Brandon By Name List.

Develop and provide ongoing support to the Coordinated Access system in rural Manitoba including the creation and maintenance of cluster-specific By Name Lists.

Streamline Coordinated Access prioritization and housing process in all clusters.

Create and maintain housing inventory resource list for Brandon and rural areas

Generate reports to support various steps within the Coordinated Access system, e.g. prioritization, assessment scores, resource capacity, etc.

Missing person coordination with community stakeholders.

Create and maintain Coordinated Access System Map for all clusters.

Develop relationships with community mobilization coordinators in Brandon and rural Manitoba.

Remuneration:



The current wage for the HIFIS Coordinated Access Specialist is $28 - $32 per hour up to 37.5 hours, depending on qualifications and experience.
