is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing Hollyburn's innovative senior home-sharing program. This position leads the creation of a safe, supportive, and effective matching model that empowers seniors to maintain their independence, reduce housing costs, and build meaningful social connections.
The Coordinator will oversee all aspects of program planning, community engagement, intake and matching processes, evaluation, and reporting. This role requires strong relationship-building skills, the ability to work with seniors and community partners, and a commitment to innovation in affordable housing solutions.
Hours: 40 hours per week
with availability on evening and weekends

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Diploma or degree in social services, gerontology, community development, psychology, public health, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience working with seniors, housing programs, or community-based initiatives.
Experience designing or implementing pilot programs, service models, or new initiatives is an asset.
Experience in conflict resolution, mediation, or case management preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Strong understanding of issues affecting seniors, including isolation, housing affordability, and health/social needs.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and facilitation skills.
Ability to support vulnerable seniors with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to set boundaries in a supportive manner.
Comfort with home visits, outreach, and community-based work.
Ability to collect, track, and analyze data for reporting and evaluation
high level of discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
Certifications & Licenses:
Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle required.
Valid CPR/First Aid certificate (preferred)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program Design & Development
Develop the full program model, operational tools, screening criteria, and participant guidelines for the Hidden Housing Solutions Pilot.
Create policies and procedures ensuring safety, privacy, compatibility, and positive shared living outcomes.
Develop training materials for seniors, including topics related to shared living, communication, safety, and expectations.
Build and manage project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure program launch and annual outcomes.
2. Community Outreach & Engagement
Conduct targeted outreach to seniors, caregivers, community groups, and housing partners to promote participation.
Build and maintain partnerships with senior-serving organizations, municipalities, and networks.
Support communication and marketing activities, including preparing materials for public recognition aligned with donor expectations.
3. Intake, Screening & Matching
Deliver intake assessments and home visits for seniors seeking to either share their home or move in with another senior.
Conduct safety and compatibility screenings, reference checks, and home visits as needed.
Facilitate introductions between potential matches and support participants through decision-making and onboarding.
Track 25 potential matches at various stages of engagement by January 1, 2027.
4. Participant Support & Safety
Provide ongoing support to participants, including check-ins, conflict mediation, and access to resources.
Develop and implement risk management practices to ensure participant safety and positive experiences.
5. Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
Track program activities, outcomes, and expenditures in accordance with donor reporting expectations.
Prepare mid-year and year-end progress reports summarizing key outcomes, challenges, and impact.
Work with the third-party evaluator to design and implement a robust three-year evaluation and report.
Collect participant feedback and use findings to refine program design throughout the pilot period
6. Donor Engagement & Collaboration
Facilitate appropriate opportunities for donor input, including sharing insights, marketing suggestions, and program perspectives.
Work within organizational guidelines to support donor recognition and public acknowledgment efforts.
