My client, a global leading manufacturer of specialized off-road heavy equipment is looking to add an aspiring Heavy Equipment Technician to join their growing Alberta Service Team!Permanent Position
Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday daytime hours
Wage Scale: $33.50-$41/hr (range based on experience and certification)
Overtime: Paid after 8hr per day, 1.5x on Saturdays, and 2x on Sundays.
Busy season: Busiest between October and April. During this, expect 10hrs to 20hrs of OT per week.Advantages

As a snow grooming/Alpine Service Technician, a normal day would include:
- Using specialized diagnostic tools i.e. volt/ohm multi-meters, scan tools, schematics, etc. To troubleshoot and repair vehicle/equipment systems.
- Complete work order, service, and expense reports, make reservations when required.
- Traveling through snow and inclement weather to reach a client site\'s facilities and/or piece of equipment with tools and materials necessary to complete the job.
- Spending multiple nights (up to a week) on the road visiting various client sites as needed.
- Provided high levels of customer service when at client facilities. Working alone or with their on-site technicians to expedite repairs on mission-critical equipment.
- Follow warranty protocol and O.E.M. recommendations.Qualifications
What do you need for this position?
- Formal mechanical training certificate or degree is a significant asset
- 3-5 years of experience on heavy equipment or in a related mechanical field.
- Class 5 drivers with a relatively clean drivers abstract and a passport
- Must be willing to travel frequently, spending several nights to a week on the road when necessary.
- Will be required to lift, maneuver, position, remove and install heavy items.
- Must be physically capable of performing these tasks with assistance and alone.
- Basic tool box that you\'re willing to leave at shop
