We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Herbalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of herbal medicine, patient assessment, and care for individual needs. This role involves providing personalized herbal recommendations to clients based on their individual health needs and goals. The Herbalist will work closely with clients to assess their conditions and educate them on the benefits of various herbal remedies.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns and goals.
Utilize knowledge of physiology and anatomy to recommend appropriate herbal treatments.
Provide education to patients regarding the use of herbs, including potential benefits and risks.
Maintain accurate records of clients intake, assessments, and treatment plans.
Stay updated on current research and developments in herbal medicine and related fields.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals/ alternative medicine practitioners to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Deliver exceptional patient service by fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to herbal medicine and patient care.
Proven experience in patient service, demonstrating excellent communication skills.
Familiarity with intake processes and documentation practices in a healthcare setting.
A background in physiology and anatomy is highly desirable.
Certification or degree in Herbal Medicine or a related field.
Current certified through Ontario Herbalist Association or equivalent.
