Overview

We are seeking a full-time permanent skilled and experienced

Heavy-Duty Technician, Journeyman

to join our team based in Steinbach, MB. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with hands-on experience in maintaining, inspecting and repairing a variety of vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Run diagnostic tests, repairing, and maintaining customer buses Interpret schematics and technical drawings to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Perform Preventative Maintenance on buses Verify bus serviceability by conducting test drives Maintain records of serviced buses Complete production work which includes prepping new buses for delivery. Perform Commercial Vehicle Inspections Adhere to inspection and safety policies & procedures Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (ex. EV bus training) Ensure the worksite is always clean and safe. Be a team player!

Skills

Hold a valid Red Seal Heavy-Duty Certificate Qualification Valid Class 5 driver's license (Class 2 is an asset) PMVI license to inspect vehicle classes 4 & 5 - Bus and School Bus (will provide training) HVAC & LPG experience, Certificate of Qualification is an asset Ford IDS experience is an asset. Cummins Insite experience is an asset. Excellent active listening, problem solving, and communication skills Able to lift 50 lbs Strong attention to detail, good organization skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Pay: $30.00-$37.00 per hour
