Tasks

Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse Empty trash cans and other waste containers Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment Perform safety and security checks Supervise other workers Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures Work with minimal supervision Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas Address customers' complaints or concerns Wash windows, walls and ceilings Vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture Pick up debris and empty trash containers Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties Handle and report lost and found items Dust furniture Disinfect operating rooms and other areas Provide basic information on facilities Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
