to oversee the operation, maintenance, and performance of heavy equipment and technicians in a fleet yard. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, leadership skills, and a commitment to ensure work is performed efficiently and safely in accordance with Ontario Ministry of Labor and Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)standards.
Ensure the company facilities are well-cared for and adequate to support the company's business operations.
Well-versed in all maintenance processes, and undertake administrative tasks such as reporting, budgeting etc.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm - may be required to work Saturdays or shifts/weekends and/or evenings. Overtime is necessary during peak periods and when workload necessitates.
Key Responsibilities
Approve, coordinate, oversee, prioritize and track all work conducted in shop/field.
Manage negotiations with dealers and vendors.
Lay out and estimate costs for submission of maintenance projects.
Oversee and manage purchasing equipment and parts inventory.
Verify, approve and complete work orders.
Prepare and maintain detailed records and reports.
As necessary, respond to on-call and emergency situations.
Set objectives, propose recommendations and oversee performance reviews.
Instill lean principles for setup, and preventative maintenance.
Qualifications/Requirements
Certificate 421A.
5+ years' experience in Mechanical Maintenance.
5+ years of Supervisory experience.

Excellent communication skills (English language), and well-developed interpersonal skills.
