Job Description
Northside Transport is a Heavy Haul company based out of the Fraser Valley region. We move construction equipment all over the lower mainland, as well as long haul across Canada and the US, with various trucks and trailers. We take pride in our work and in the job we do.
A successful applicant must meet the following requirements:
Class 1 Driver's license plus a minimum of two (2) years driver's experience, preferably experience in heavy hauling Extensive knowledge and experience in various types of tractor and trailer configurations. Knowledge and mechanical understanding of tractors and trailers Knowledge of cross boarder hauling (asset but not mandatory) Knowledge with loading and unloading construction equipment/paving gear Basic understanding in the National Safety Code and HOS regulations Comprehensive understanding FMCSA and NSC regulations Basic understanding of electronic use to upload hours and log daily activity Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment Works well in a team environment Email Resume and current driver abstract
Responsibilities
- Safely transport heavy equipment using a lowbed trailer.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to ensure proper securing of loads.
- Perform heavy hauls with attention to detail and safety.
- Maintain Class 1 Licence and adhere to all regulations.
- Collaborate with team members for efficient job completion.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $35.27 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week
