Heavy Equipment Technician

to join our West Edmonton crew. We require an experienced technician who will maintain and repair a variety of makes/models of equipment as a key resource to help us continue to provide dependable, timely service to our customers.

The challenges we have for you:

Perform preventative maintenance and conduct routine inspections Troubleshoot, diagnose, and make recommendations on repair options Work on a variety of equipment including forklifts, loaders, skid steers, material handling equipment and heavy tractor trailer Adjust equipment, and repair or replace defective parts Comprehend equipment manuals, diagrams, and schematic drawings Complete appropriate documentation for all service and repairs Maintain a clean and organized work environment Follow all company safety policies and procedures Other projects and duties as assigned

The skills we are looking for:

Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot a variety of equipment related issues Strong problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities A motivated, reliable, and punctual self-starter Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Experience of 2 -3 years' as a Heavy Equipment Technician Journeyman, or red seal certification (preferred) Position is open to 3rd or 4th year apprentices CVIP experience or license is an asset Valid Class 5 Driver's License with drivers abstract in good standing Must have own tools
