Heavy Equipment Technicians - WORK HARD, PLAY HARD!

We are EXPANDING our operations

in

Camrose

and have openings for 12 HETs in safety-sensitive positions to add to our growing team.

The HETs will work a

7/7rotation

(Wednesday through Tuesday), 12 hour shifts starting at 6:00 based out of our

Camrose Shop

alternating sets between days and nights. They will be motivated, committed and want to grow with us.

Journeymen Technicians

in our

Camrose

location will earn a base rate of

$49.07 - $51.65/hour.

In a regularly scheduled rotation (7/7) the tech will work 84 hours. 40 of those hours are paid at regular time, and 44 are paid at overtime.

+ Additional Compensation

An excellent HET will be:

Able to understand equipment systems to effectively and efficiently determine the necessary route for repairs Experienced in working with Dozers and Haul Trucks of all major brands and models (CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu, John Deere). Highly motivated and self-driven to do their best work every day Experienced, competent and able to repair, troubleshoot, adjust, overhaul and maintain mobile heavy duty equipment An enthusiastic team player Able to accept learning opportunities to continually develop themselves professionally and personally A technician who strives to provide the highest levels of service and quality of work with Heavy Metal's best interest at the forefront of all tasks

The Job

Check dozers, haul trucks, excavators and other heavy construction and mining equipment for proper performance of all major brands (CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Hitachi) Inspect equipment for defects and malfunctions Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required Repair and replace defective parts, components and/or systems Test repaired equipment for proper performance and that it meets or exceeds manufacturer's specifications

What We Need From YOU

:

A desire to make a difference and take pride in your work A minimum of

3 years

experience working with large construction and open pit mining equipment

MUST

include in depth experience with CAT, Komatsu, John Deere and Hitachi Excellent troubleshooting and technical skills Superior mechanical aptitude Shop and/or field work experience Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices Collaborative communication style Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team A complete set of mechanics tools up to 3/4" drive Ability to lift and manage 50 pounds without assistance

MUST

be able to complete a Respirator Fit test and don a mask at any time while at work, which also means compliance with facial hair requirements to ensure a complete seal for the mask
