We are currently recruiting for a 2nd or 3rd Year Heavy Equipment Technician to join the team in the Edmonton, AB shop! This position is in Edmonton, AB and does not have camp accommodations, travel allowance, or living out allowance.
Work with a wide range of equipment and specialty tools. The Automotive and Heavy Equipment Technicians are responsible for performing inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance.
AS AN EQUIPMENT MECHANIC, YOU WILL:
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and specialty tools
Some of the equipment includes:
- Generators
- Light Plants
- Zoom Booms
- Aerial Lifts
- Ground thaw heaters
- Boilers / Heat exchangers
- Tampers/ Trash pumps
REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED required, along with some trade school or equivalent training- Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) - indentured 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
- Have at least 3 years of experience with maintenance and repair of support equipment
- Hold a valid Class 5 Drivers License
- Have extensive troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Have excellent written communication skills to complete daily service reports
