Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and a strong understanding of safety protocols. This role is essential for ensuring efficient operations on-site, contributing to the successful completion of projects while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Duties

Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, and loaders to perform tasks including digging, building, and moving materials. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Collaborate with team members to plan and execute tasks effectively, ensuring all work is completed on schedule. Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery to minimize risks and accidents. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any incidents that occur during operation. Assist in training new operators on equipment handling and safety practices as needed.

Skills

Proficient in heavy equipment operation with experience in excavator, dozer, loader operation, and farm machinery. Understanding and being able to read and follow grade stakes is a huge asset. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with machinery effectively. Ability to perform commercial driving tasks as required for transporting equipment or materials. Capable of working independently or as part of a team with strong communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols at all times.
