Summary

Are you an experienced Equipment Operator looking for a change? Are you looking to be a part of a company that values your contributions and can provide continuous opportunities for growth? We are looking for a seasoned equipment operator experienced on multiple pieces of equipment for the 2025 construction season.

This role will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of equipment, including, Excavator and Skid steer amongst others. Experience operating a Grader would be an asset.

Key Responsibilities

Operate the equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment. Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area. Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance. Operate equipment on public or private roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings. Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of various equipment. Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the equipment. Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as required.

Qualifications | Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Class 5 Drivers License required Minimum 2 years' experience within the road construction industry 2 - 3 years' experience operating an Excavator, Skidsteer, Loader or other similar pieces of equipment.

Working Conditions

Weather dependent schedule of Monday - Saturday, up to 12 hours per day. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable employment standards legislation. Flight reimbursement, Live out Allowance (LOA) and accommodations are applicable in most situations. Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt. Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 LBS on a regular basis. Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required. Work boot allowance program is available. Use of sunscreen, long sleeves, and appropriate headgear is recommended. Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
