Job Description

A Vancouver Island based company looking for an experienced heavy equipment operator for our Victoria location.

Wage based on experience*

Duties

Assisting customers by loading vehicles to order. Loading company trucks and trailers as needed Performing pre- and post-operation checks to ensure equipment is in good working order and reporting any issues. Performing routine maintenance tasks like lubricating and refueling equipment, and making minor repairs Maintain radio communication with the office and other yard staff Ability to identify and resolve basic mechanical issues with equipment.

Qualities:

Must have 2 years experience running a loader. (Excavator, and other heavy equipment is an asset) thorough knowledge of safety regulations and procedures. must be reliable and punctual; and have a reliable transportation. must have a strong work ethic. clear and effective communication with supervisors and other workers. must be willing and able to perform physically demanding work.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
