JWK Utilities & Site Services Ltd. is a commercial electrical contractor based in Carp, Ontario, specializing in underground utility installations and civil construction. We are currently seeking an experienced
Heavy Equipment Operator (Backhoe/Loader/Dozer/Grader)
to join our team in apart-time, seasonal role
to assist withsnow removal operations
throughout the City of Ottawa and surrounding areas.Key Responsibilities
Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment for snow removal, including: Backhoes Loaders Dozers Graders Assist with snow clearing on roadways, bus stops, and the snow dump. Complete daily safety checks and equipment inspections Perform basic routine maintenance and report mechanical issues to the mechanic Respond to snow events on an
as-needed / on-call basis
(days, nights, weekends, and holidays) Comply with all JWK and site-specific safety policies, procedures, and regulationsAdditional Equipment Experience (Asset, Not Required)
Dump Trucks and Trailers (DZ / AZ licence) Previous commercial or municipal snow removal experience
Job Requirements
Valid driver's licence with a clean driver's abstract WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain) CSA-approved safety footwear and appropriate winter gear
