Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operating various types of heavy machinery and equipment, including loaders, backhoes, motor graders, and skid steers. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment on sites. The candidate will be responsible for performing tasks that require mechanical knowledge and expertise in heavy equipment operation.

Duties

Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, backhoes, motor grader, and skid steers to complete construction or snow removal tasks efficiently and safely. Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure it is in good working condition and report any issues to the supervisor. Perform routine maintenance on machinery to keep it operational and extend its lifespan. Follow safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment in various environments. Collaborate with team members to execute project plans effectively and meet deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on the job site. Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed using appropriate machinery.

Requirements

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with loaders, backhoes, motor graders, and skid steers.. Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is preferred. Experience with farm machinery is a plus. Ability to work in various weather conditions and adapt to changing job site environments. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to heavy equipment operation are advantageous. Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 80 per week
