Job Description

JWK Utilities & Site Services Ltd. is a commercial electrical contractor based in Carp, Ontario, specializing in underground utility installations. We are currently seeking a skilled

Backhoe/Shovel Operator

to join our team for a full-time, year-round position. Our work primarily takes place within the City of Ottawa and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:



Operate backhoes, shovels, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently Complete daily safety and equipment inspections Perform routine maintenance and report issues to the mechanic Work closely with ground crews and assist with labour tasks as required Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations on-site

Additional Equipment Experience (Asset, Not Required):



Directional Drill (HDD) Dump Trucks and Trailers (DZ / AZ License )

Job Requirements:



Valid driver's license with clean driver's abstract WHMIS certification CSA-approved safety footwear Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Demonstrated attention to safety and detail on the job site
