Job Description

This position as a heavy equipment operator requires 2-5 years experience in a Surface Mining, farming or construction operation. While this position is based out of the Muskoka region, applicants may be required to travel to other work sites throughout Ontario (transportation and lodging for locations out of town is provided by the company). We are currently looking to fill day shift positions in the operation of various equipment including excavator, feed loader, clean-up loader, etc as well as to assist with the maintenance and general site clean-up. Successful applicants will have the following skills:

o Seasoned Loader Operator Skills

o High School Graduate or Equivalent

o Basic Working and Maintenance knowledge of all equipment used on a job site: Generalist background with broad knowledge of all aspects of the Aggregate Industry

o Work experience in a pit or quarry an asset

o Valid Driver's license

o Basic knowledge of Steel Cutting, Welding and Fabrication an asset

0 Experience running an excavator and a front-end loader for the purpose of mining the face in a sand and gravel pit

o Surface Miner Common Core an asset

o WSIB I & II an asset

o Flexible / Willing to work at various locations

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Seasonal
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $25.00-$29.00 per hour

Experience:

Industrial maintenance: 1 year (preferred) heavy equipment operation: 1 year (required) surface mining, construction or farming: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
