Heavy Equipment Operator (HEO)

. The successful applicant must have a minimum of 2 years experience, preferably in the civil industry.

Working under the supervision of the Project Superintendent and Site Foreman, the HEO will work with crews to install water, sewer, storm and shallow utilities. The successful candidate will be expected to be involved in multiple phases of the construction process including operation of various types of equipment to complete various tasks including but not limited to: site preparation, grading, common excavation etc.

Responsibilities:

Daily inspection reports to be completed for all equipment Participation in the Health and Safety Program (Daily Field Level Hazard Assessments) Working with the ground staff and other operators to complete daily tasks such as excavations, trenching and grading etc. Must be an excellent communicator with ground staff Installation of manholes and catch basins when necessary. Bedding pipe, backfilling trenches and compacting with necessary equipment. Providing manual labor assistance as required.
Qualifications:

Have a minimum of 2 years experience as a operator in civil construction Be able to work with minimal supervision Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from work Be punctual, reliable, and hardworking Be willing to work extended hours (as needed)
