Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction and heavy machinery team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a variety of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to safety, and experience with commercial driving and farm machinery. The Equipment Operator will play a vital role in ensuring project completion with precision and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes to perform construction tasks. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance. Safely maneuver equipment around construction sites, adhering to all safety protocols. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling as needed. Follow project plans and instructions from supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and safety compliance.

Requirements

Proven experience operating heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and cranes. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred or required depending on the role. Experience with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment brands is highly desirable. Knowledge of construction site safety procedures and regulations. Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. Prior experience with farm machinery or heavy equipment operation in agricultural settings is a plus. Strong attention to safety standards and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
