Weiss Excavating and Contracting is looking for an experienced Equipment Operator with experience operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, loaders, and cranes. This role involves working with various machinery to dig, bulldoze, build, and perform other tasks. As a small but growing team, you will be an integral member of our team from Day 1, with the opportunity to grow into a long-term leader at the company.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment including backhoes, loaders, and cranes
- Perform tasks such as digging, bulldozing, and lifting materials
- Ensure equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines for operating machinery
- Complete assigned tasks efficiently and accurately
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in heavy equipment operation
- Proficiency in operating backhoes, loaders, and other relevant machinery
- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
- Familiarity with farm machinery is advantageous
