Heavy Equipment operators operate heavy equipment such as tractor trailers, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders and graders to excavate, move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction and related activities, must have a good understanding of snow removal techniques. Operators are expected to be able to work independently as well as part of a team and will be expected to communicate effectively while maintaining the highest safety practices.
Responsibilities:
Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and clean, lubricate and refill equipment.
Operate heavy equipment such as snowplows, loaders, sand trucks, and graders to clear snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas.
Labor work includes but not limited to shoveling, moving materials etc.
Follow safety protocols and adhere to all company policies and procedures
Other related duties as required
Operators are expected to be able to work independently as well as part of a team and will be expected to communicate effectively while maintaining the highest safety practices.
Qualifications:
Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate
Class 1,3, 5, 8 and 9 Drivers Licence
1-5 years experience in operation of equipment mentioned above
Combination of relevant education and/or experience will be considered
