to join our team. In this role, you'll assist with excavation and site work both on and off property. You'll be operating a variety of equipment and performing manual labour to help maintain a safe, organized, and efficient worksite.
Assist with the installation of underground infrastructure (e.g., waterlines, sanitary lines, electrical conduit)
Operate and maintain various equipment and tools, including chainsaws, gas-powered compactors, and small machinery such as skid steers, mini-excavators, tractors, and rollers
Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment
Support equipment operators as a groundsperson, including utility locating, raking, shoveling, and site grading
Adhere to all equipment and workplace safety procedures
2. General Labour & Site Management
Maintain clean and organized work areas by clearing tools, debris, and equipment
Grade and prepare sites according to elevation plans
Manage excavated materials in confined areas
Load and transport materials as needed
Perform manual landscaping and general labour tasks
Demonstrate time management, multitasking, and adaptability
3. Safety & Compliance
Comply with workplace safety policies, government regulations, and PPE requirements
Maintain vehicle and equipment logs
Participate in mandatory safety and hazard training sessions
Promote a culture of respect, teamwork, and adherence to anti-harassment policies

Foster a cooperative and respectful work environment
Support and mentor colleagues, especially new team members

Requirements:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years in excavation, farming, or equipment operation/maintenance
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
Strong time management and organization
Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather
Physical Demands:
Able to lift up to 30 kg
Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and reaching
Standing and walking for extended periods
Schedule & Availability:
Full-time availability, including mornings, afternoons, and every second weekend
Typical shift: 8 hours with a 30-minute lunch break
