JOB DESCRIPTION

We're seeking a confident operator with experience on front-end loaders and excavators to help keep our quarry running smoothly. This role offers a mix of hands-on equipment work, material handling, and general quarry operations.

You'll be responsible for loading rock orders, sorting stone, and ensuring materials meet quality specs, while working closely with a supportive crew. Prior quarry experience is an asset, but we'll provide training on our specific processes and site requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate a front-end loader to move and load stone materials. Load rock orders into trucks using a loader or excavator, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Sort and organize stone to meet quality and size specifications. Assist with general quarry operations and maintenance. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks on the job site. Responsibilities may change and grow as additional skills are learned.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Heavy equipment operation experience, focusing on front-end loaders and excavators. Physically capable of handling demanding tasks, such as cleaning out the screen deck and performing maintenance on sorting equipment. Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly, and maintain a positive attitude. High attention to detail and a commitment to safety.

LOCATION

Quarry located approx. 15 minutes from Cranbrook, BC.

HOURS

Full-Time, Monday-Friday.

WHAT WE OFFER

$30-$35/hr, dependent on experience and skill. Benefits after probation.
