Overview



Complete Utility Contractors (CUC) is searching for a permanent, full-time, career-minded Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team and bring with them experience and confidence in operating excavators, backhoes, and/or loaders for digging excavations, trenching for utilities, crossing/exposing utilities, off loading/loading materials, backfilling trenches, and prepping for grade.

What you will be doing:



Operate a variety of equipment (Excavators, Loaders, Backhoes, Skid Steers, Rollers etc.) Digging excavations, trenching for utilities, crossing/exposing utilities, off loading/loading materials, backfilling trenches, prepping for grade. Greasing and inspecting equipment. Reporting any required maintenance or repairs. Maintain good employee morale, communication, and teamwork. Understand OH&S safe work practices and procedures and follow them consistently. Provide leadership and aid in training junior employees. Provide feedback to supervisors and management on process improvements. Identifying problems and innovation/team coordination

What we are looking for:



3 to 5 years' experience in utility construction preferred. Experience operating Excavators, Loaders, Backhoes, Skid Steers, Rollers etc. Familiarity in working around existing utilities. Must be able to lift to 50lbs. Positive and motivated with the willingness to learn. Attention to detail and safety oriented. Good organizational and time management skills Have knowledge of OH&S regulations and knowledge of construction disciplines (knowledge of materials and methods required).

Valid BC Driver's License with clean Driver's Abstract is a must

Pay: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
