We are currently seeking skilled
Heavy Equipment Operators
to join our dynamic and versatile team for year-round and seasonal work.
Position Summary:
This position involves operating a variety of heavy equipment, including
excavators (hoe), loaders, dozers, and skid steers
, in support of our civil construction projects. Ideal candidates will have a strong safety mindset, the ability to work in variable site conditions, and experience with underground utilities and excavation work.
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Wage: $28.00 - $42.00
, based on experience
Overtime
is paid at time-and-a-half for any hours worked over 8 hours per day and 44 hours per week
Travel Allowance
available for candidates commuting from outside the Bow Valley

Work Schedule:
40-55+ hours per week
Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed
Day shifts only
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heavy equipment (excavator, loader, dozer, skid steer) safely and efficiently
Complete roadwork, excavation, grading, and utility installation tasks
Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain detailed checklists
Safely operate in proximity to crews, underground utilities, and public spaces
Clean, fuel, lubricate, and maintain assigned equipment
Report any maintenance or repair needs to management or mechanics
Respond to site signals and coordinate closely with other team members
Follow site-specific safety protocols and contribute to a safety-first culture
Qualifications & Requirements:
Valid Class 5 Driver's License
CSA-approved safety boots (mandatory)
WHMIS and CSTS certification (or willingness to obtain - training provided)
Minimum
1-3 years' experience
operating heavy equipment in a construction setting
Strong understanding of equipment operation in varying ground conditions
Familiarity with rigging procedures is an asset
Ability to work independently and within a team
