Heavy

Equipment Operator

who is experienced with Excavators, Loaders and Backhoes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensuring safety is a priority for self, coworkers, the public, and the assets of the company and following policies and procedures set out by the company Operate one or more machines such as but not limited to the loader, backhoe, excavator or other as per the operator's manual A daily walk-around inspection of the machine, general housekeeping of the machine, and minor repairs when necessary to ensure a safe operation Daily administration of logbooks Assist with manual labor when needed Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers Meet productivity level mandates set out by the supervisor or manager Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

Ontario driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. High school or GED Snow removal/plow truck operator experience considered an asset DZ is an Asset but not required. Must be able to pass all required training, background check, and drug & alcohol testing. Ability to work independently or in a team setting Willing to work overtime and be on call Basic mechanical aptitude is required Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
