In business for over 40 years, LBL is known for its attention to detail and overall superior workmanship. With a fleet of heavy equipment, LBL offers a wide array of services for both residential & civil projects including excavation, demolition, site preparation, septic systems, water & sewer connections as well as providing aggregates like sand and topsoil to the community. We also offer operated equipment rentals for contractors . We're currently looking for hard-working people with a great attitude to join our team!

We're looking for experienced heavy equipment operators to join our team! The person will be responsible for operating heavy construction equipment which may include front-end loaders, dozers, Excavators, compactors, Skid Steers, and other pieces of equipment, based on the companies needs. Roto-Tilt Experience & ability to work with minimal supervision is Mandatory.

Role and Responsibilities:



The person must always perform circle checks of equipment and clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies, and procedures of the company Perform fine grade work. Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliance. Diagnose / identify defects in heavy duty equipment Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor to facilitate prompt correction or reporting. The Heavy Equipment Operator may also deal with residents and members of the public in a courteous and respectful manner. Travel to various construction sites within and around Ottawa's west end to operate machinery. Other duties as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:



Minimum of 5 years of experience operating heavy machinery. Ability to perform fine grade work. Roto tilt experience is mandatory Detailed focus and attention to detail. Ability to read plans/drawings , locates Physical strength and stamina Site management skills Openness to learn new technologies and techniques. In-depth knowledge of construction/heavy equipment. Must have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team. Ability to follow instructions and to be flexible with the changing needs of the project/job. Completion of all required health and safety training A valid driver's license is required.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
