What you'll do



Perform diagnostic assessments and troubleshoot mechanical issues on heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on GME's fleet including Case and Cat equipment, dump trucks, semi-trucks and employee work vehicles. Recommend replacement parts or repair solutions. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections. Collaborate with the operations team to schedule repairs and minimize equipment downtime. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance activities. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve equipment issues. Keep the work area clean and organized..

Basic qualifications



Minimum 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic or similar role. Red Seal Certification as a Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician / Mechanic is preferred Valid driver's license (Class 1 is considered an asset) Strong knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems. Experience with Case and Caterpillar equipment is an asset. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Must be able to do moderate to heavy lifting
