Job Description

Duties Include but are not limited to:

• Inspecting heavy equipment and small engines for proper performance and scanning equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems using hand and power tools
• Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and ensuring that work meets manufacturers\xe2\x80\x99 specifications
• Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on equipment
• Service attachments and working tools such as blades, ploughs, winches and side booms
• May perform repair work on heavy trucks

Candidates must have the following:

• 5 Years Experience as a Licensed Heavy Mechanic
• Either a 310T or 421A license
• Heavy Mechanic Certificate \xe2\x80\x93 (exam taken, apprentice hours completed)
• Machinery skills, build and repair
• Practical experience on a Construction Site, Farm or Mining, working around Heavy Machinery
• Basic understanding of Hydraulics, Electrics and Electronics
• Basic electronic and troubleshooting skills
• Must have e working knowledge of the f use and operation of all automotive diagnostic testing equipment, gauges and tools associated with troubleshooting and repairs of gasoline, diesel hydraulic-powered equipment

• Work is intense and requires people with good judgment, who perform under pressure when there are probleon-siteite, the ability to direct men on-site, organize work efficiently, and insist on high-quality work being completed.
• Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, ability to distinguish between colours, a combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling

• mechanical: 3 years (preferred)
• landscaping industry: 1 year (preferred)
