Heavy Equipment Technician Lead Hand

As our Lead Hand, you\'ll play an integral role in assisting the Service Supervisor with day-to-day planning, organization, and workflow. You may also perform major diagnostics and repairs. You are responsible for providing the highest quality of leadership and service, and for complying with the company\'s established policies and procedures. This position will be responsible for developing and coaching apprentices.

• Experience. You are accomplished with diagnostic and repair experience on a wide variety of heavy equipment from various manufacturers. You love to share your knowledge with apprentices and young techs and you are able to communicate your information in a timely and understandable manner.
• Leadership. You easily develop a rapport of trust with your team and your fair, level-headed leadership style makes it easy for techs to approach you with issues and ideas.
• Ability. This can be a physical job with heavy lifting and carrying. The pace can be fast, the hours can be long during busy cycles, and you may also need to work overtime. You will also realize that you need to recharge regularly \xe2\x80\x93 we insist that you take your vacation time!
• Mentorship. Listen actively and perform competence analysis of apprentice technicians. Identify areas for them to improve and provide on the job training to assist in their development.
• Organization. This is a detail-oriented position and you have already developed personal systems for organizing your work and organizing the techs on your team.
