Job Description

Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Greely, ON. In this role you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on various heavy equipment, including Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks, and Refuse equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform troubleshooting, mechanical repairs, and pre-delivery inspections.
• Communicate effectively with the Service Writer and Parts team to ensure optimal efficiency
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections
• Maintain an organized and safe work area and shop tools
• Adhere to safety legislation, regulations, and company policies
• Report any known workplace hazards or safety violations

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Licensed Heavy Equipment (421A) or Truck & Coach Technician (310T)
• 2+ years\' experience as a Licensed Mechanic
• Chassis experience is an asset
• Experience with hydraulic and/or electrical work
• Exposure to Street Sweepers, Vacuum Trucks, or Refuse equipment is an asset
• Valid driver\'s license with a clean abstract (DZ considered an asset)
• Safety-conscious with a positive team-player attitude
