Position Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented

Heavy Equipment Lube and Service Technician

to maintain and service a fleet of heavy equipment including loaders, dozers, excavators, skid steers, tractors, and more. This position is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our machinery.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine lubrication and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment Check fluid levels, filters, belts, hoses, and general equipment inspections Drain and replace engine oil, hydraulic fluids, and coolant Inspect equipment for signs of wear or damage and report issues Maintain accurate service records and documentation Work closely with mechanics and operators to schedule service and minimize downtime Operate service trucks and other support equipment as needed Occasionally drop off and pick up parts / supplies MUST HAVE A SMART PHONE

Qualifications

Must have a valid drivers licence and clean abstract 2+ years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance preferred Basic mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulics considered an asset Ability to multi-task, take direction Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Ability to work independently and in a team environment Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and overtime when required

Preferred Skills

Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, John Deere, or similar equipment Familiarity with computerized maintenance systems Ability to pull a small trailer when required
Ability to operate a skid steer at a basic level
