Heavy Duty Mechanic

YB Services is a locally owned full service, repair and parts facility in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories and has been proudly serving the Northwest Territories and surrounding area since 2006. We specialize in heavy truck and equipment repairs, including on-road and off-road equipment.

We are currently looking to expand our team and hire an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic that is passionate about the trade, safety and are dedicated hard workers. The successful candidate should have a strong background with On-Road and Off-Road Equipment.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair heavy duty, medium duty, and on/off road equipment

Report findings and recommend repair and/or replacement parts.

Complete mechanical, electrical and air systems, and general repair/service

Identify and complete diagnostics of equipment problems, replace worn or broken parts as required

Qualifications: (experience needed and education)

Minimum 3 years experience as a heavy-duty mechanic

Valid drivers license an asset

Red Seal endorsement an asset

Comfortable working in all weather conditions and remote locations

Salary: $45.25 / hour

Benefits: Extended health, dental plan and long term disability.

Job Type: Full-time permanent, 40 hours per week

Language: At least intermediate English is required.
