Overview

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team, responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, experience with various types of heavy equipment, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems. The ideal candidate will have dealership experience, familiarity with construction and farm machinery, and proficiency with diagnostic tools and schematics. This is a full-time position offering opportunities for professional growth within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on Caterpillar, HVAC systems, farm machinery, and automotive components Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely using appropriate equipment and techniques Assemble, disassemble, and replace parts as needed to ensure optimal equipment performance Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed Assist in the installation of new machinery and system upgrades Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs

Skills

Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment such as excavators, tractors,skid steers or similar machinery Dealership experience highly preferred Proficiency in electrical systems repair and diagnostics using schematics Hands-on experience with welding, assembly, HVAC systems, and automotive repair Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently Familiarity with farm machinery maintenance and repair processes Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic testing devices Mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate technical information to clients or team members
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.31-$45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
