Position Overview: Join the Finning Canada family, part of the world\xe2\x80\x99s largest Caterpillar dealer. We are currently looking for a dedicated Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar products.

This position will be based on a 7x7 Continuous Shift rotation. If you are a safety conscious team player, self-motivated, detail-oriented and possess a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license, then you are exactly who we are looking for!

Industry leading potential total compensation plan: $75000 - $100000 / year

:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment
• Component replacements
• Large scale overhauls and rebuilds
• New equipment preparation
• Interface with customers, product, and sales support
• Working with supervisors on various tasks
• Equipment and facility continuous improvements
• Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
• Various related duties as required

Qualifications:

• Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
• Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment required.
• Journeyperson Truck and Transport, Journeyperson Agriculture and Journeyperson Automotive Certification will be considered based on experience
• Apprentices will be considered based on experience.
• Valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s license with a successful recent driver abstract
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Previous experience with Caterpillar equipment/engines would be considered an asset.
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset.
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset.
• Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset.
• Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset
• Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset

• $36.56-$44.23/Hour
