Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure performance, safety and longevity of the equipment
Dismantle components to examine for excessive wear or damage
Repair, replace, clean, and lubricate parts as necessary
Maintain and calibrate vehicle electrical systems
Monitor hydraulic systems for fluid leaks, ruptured hoses, worn gaskets, etc and calibrate or replace components when necessary
Maintain an open and trustworthy relationship with respect to communication amongst staff and the Facility, Fleet & Purchasing Manager
Initiate, manage and delegate daily work assignments with minimal supervision
Maintain records of work completed and report on all shop related activities within the CMMS
Perform all maintenance and repair tasks in a cost-effective and fiscally responsible manner
Assist the Facility, Fleet & Purchasing Manager with the preparation of annual budget for vehicle maintenance
Ensure safety and good housekeeping practices
Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Must be in possession of a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic's ticket
Minimum 3 years experience working in a heavy-duty mechanics role, asset if within the ski industry
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Familiarity with Heavy Industrial Equipment (excavators, loaders, skid steers etc.)
Previous experience working with snow cats and snowmobiles (key asset)
Working knowledge of hydraulics
Must hold a current valid driver's license
Previous experience repairing undercarriage and track assemblies
Previous experience repairing components such as frames and implements
Welding ticket an asset

Working Conditions
Must be physically able to lift heavy equipment, manipulate tools, and engage in manual labour for extended periods of time
Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends, Holidays and after hours for emergency repairs
Must be able to work outdoors under adverse weather conditions
This role requires that the successful candidate provide personal tools to perform standard work tasks in exchange (tool allowance provided)
