Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Experience with dealership service, excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and automotive repair is highly valued. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of our fleet and machinery.

Duties



Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools Repair or replace faulty components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and assembly techniques Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs on industrial equipment Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed Assist with the installation and assembly of new machinery or equipment Ensure compliance with safety standards during all maintenance activities Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical problems Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs

Experience



Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment or industrial machinery Dealership experience is preferred but not required Hands-on experience working with excavators, cranes, Caterpillar equipment, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, and automotive repairs Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for diagnostics and repairs Skilled in welding, electrical systems troubleshooting, and mechanical assembly Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and perform heavy lifting as needed Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance procedures for industrial equipment Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety standards is highly desirable
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $38.00-$55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
