Position Overview



We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious

Heavy Duty Mechanic

to join our team. This role is responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of heavy-duty equipment and mechanical systems in both workshop and field environments.

Key Responsibilities



Diagnose and repair diesel engines, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, trucks, pressure testing equipment, and other heavy mechanical systems. Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections. Support assembly, disassembly, and functional testing of STATS isolation tools and mechanical systems. Accurately complete maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records. Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, and service manuals. Operate forklifts, hoists, and overhead cranes (training provided). Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support field readiness. Comply with STATS Group safety policies and participate in toolbox talks and HSE meetings.

Qualifications



Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (Red Seal preferred). Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a heavy-duty mechanical role (oil & gas or industrial environment preferred). Valid Class 5 driver's licence (Class 3 an asset). Experience with mechanical systems including pumps, valves, actuators, and rotating equipment. Ability to work from technical diagrams and manuals. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and working in shop or variable outdoor conditions. Exposure to pipeline pressure testing or oilfield service equipment is an asset.
