We are seeking a skilled and energetic Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet and equipment operating smoothly, supporting our operational excellence across various sectors. Responsibilities



Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment such as Compactors, Graders, Telehandlers, and other misc heavy equipment pieces using schematics, technical manuals, and advanced diagnostic tools. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, hydraulic system servicing, Engine Diagnostics and Repairs, Fabricate custom parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Operate heavy machinery including forklifts, excavators, loaders, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently during maintenance or repair tasks. Troubleshoot electrical systems involving automotive diagnostics, wiring schematics, sensors, switches, and control modules to identify faults accurately. Perform detailed inspections of vehicle systems such as HVAC units, hydraulics to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist with assembly or disassembly of complex machinery components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, parts used, and inspections completed for compliance and reporting purposes.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with dealership experience preferred but not required. Strong mechanical knowledge encompassing diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical troubleshooting. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for accurate diagnostics and repairs. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools (including welding equipment), soldering irons and other fabrication tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environmental conditions. Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes is highly desirable. Knowledge of farm machinery and industrial equipment is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid certifications related to vehicle maintenance or heavy equipment operation are advantageous but not mandatory. Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
