are the backbone of the work we do. Commercial builds and supports vehicles for essential sectors such as fire, utility, towing, refuse, municipalities, and others, and we rely every day on our production and service team members to assemble and maintain work trucks for these vital customers.
We're looking for a Journeyperson Mechanic to join the Commercial team to support our refuse & recycling customers from our Ayr, ON branch. The successful candidate will likely have the combination of education and experience to upfit, inspect, diagnose, and repair the mechanical, electric, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment on refuse collection vehicles. This is a full-time permanent day-shift position with a large regional travel requirement and provided service vehicle.

Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant will have a mix of the following qualifications and experience. Commercial is looking for someone who has the experience to make a smooth transition into this position and to hit the ground running. We will consider candidates from all backgrounds and industries.
Combined mechanical, electrical, hydraulic & pneumatic inspection, diagnosis, and repair knowledge and ability
Valid Ontario DZ license is preferred
Experience working on garbage trucks, refuse trucks, and/or recycling trucks would be a very strong asset
A mechanic that has experience working in a mobile capacity would be preferred
Valid 310T license or Senior Apprentice is preferred
Experience with, and/or training and certification for alternative fuel vehicle maintenance (CNG & EV) is considered a strong asset but training will be provided for the right candidate
Ability and willingness to travel for work- vehicles are often repaired at customer sites
Strong commitment to safety, detail-oriented, dependable, and punctual
Commitment to providing outstanding internal/external customer service
A valid Canadian passport may be required. The successful candidate should be legally able to travel to the US for occasional factory training.
