Our growing company is seeking a

reliable and hardworking Heavy Duty Cleaner

to maintain two apartment buildings in Guelph. This is a

full-time position (40 hours per week)

involving a mix of medium and heavy-duty cleaning tasks.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday

7:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

Clean common areas such as hallways, stairwells, elevators, lobbies, lounges, and washrooms

Disconnect and replace garbage compactor bins

Unclog and troubleshoot garbage chutes or compactors as needed

Pick up litter and maintain exterior grounds

Fill softener salt brine tanks

Handle keys and FOBs responsibly

Monitor and maintain cleaning supplies

Report maintenance issues, leaks, or security concerns to management (including photos via cell phone)

Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Previous experience cleaning windows, bathrooms, elevators (stainless steel), and common areas

Strong attention to detail and time management skills

Ability to lift up to 44 lbs (e.g., softener salt bags)

Comfortable using a smartphone to send messages and photos

Dependable, self-motivated, and able to follow schedules and checklists

Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment for residents

Compensation:

Starting wage:

$18.50 per hour
