DESCRIPTION OF PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assembly, Bolt-Up & Alignment
Assemble and erect equipment, frames, skids and structural components from drawings and work instructions.
Perform bolt-up, torquing/tensioning of mechanical and structural connections to specified procedures.
Align shafts, couplings, gearboxes, rollers and other components using appropriate tools (levels, straight edges, gauges, dial indicators).
Rigging & Material Handling
Plan and execute safe lifts using cranes, telehandlers, forklifts, hoists and manual rigging gear.
Select, inspect and use slings, shackles and rigging hardware; signal operators and control loads.
Support loading/unloading and placement of trucks, sea cans and modular units.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance
Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic problems and basic electrical issues (sensors, limit switches, connections).
Perform minor repairs, adjustments and component replacements; complete pre-start inspections and routine maintenance on site equipment.
Documentation, Quality & Safety
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly diagrams and load charts.
Complete work orders, torque records, inspection checklists and JSAs.
Work in strict compliance with company safety policies, lock-out/tag-out and safe lifting/rigging practices.
Job Requirements
Proven experience with assembly/erection, bolt-up, alignment, rigging and material handling on industrial or construction projects.
Strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills; basic electrical an asset.
Comfortable working outdoors, at heights and in a construction/yard environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills required.
Must be able to perform physically demanding work for a long duration of time.
Must be able to perform duties at heights.
Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.
Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.
Trade Requirements
Heavy-Duty Technician Journeyperson certificate from a recognized provincial training authority.
Forklift, telehandler, aerial work platform and/or overhead crane tickets are assets.

Must have valid driver's license & own reliable transportation
Travel may be required; primarily based in Acheson / Edmonton area but travel may be required as necessary
