Z'gamok Mining is recruiting a hard-working, self-motivated individual with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician.
The Heavy-Duty Equipment Technician will be responsible for performing repairs, troubleshooting, adjusting, overhauling and maintaining mobile heavy-duty equipment on various job sites.
Duties and Responsibilities
Able to complete Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Services on mobile equipment in a scheduled timeframe
Responsible for diagnosing technical or mechanical problems and performing repairs on a variety of Underground and Surface mobile equipment.
Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
Complete work order forms and other required documentation for assigned jobs.
Maintain communication and providing updates as needed
Actively communicate with the purchasing department to ensure required parts are ordered, including tracking orders and following up when required.
Maintain organized and tidy work environment including required tools for the job.
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Valid Class G Driver's License
Certified Heavy Duty Equipment Technician (421A), Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Automotive Service Technician (310S)
Minimum 3 years of recent, relevant experience
Exceptional attention to detail and organized
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
Self motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative
Ability to follow safe working procedures
