Since then, the business has grown, adding several equipment lines and locations. The company expanded to 6 stores including Grand Falls, New Brunswick, Charlottetown, PEI, Hensall and Norwich in Ontario and a US branch in Chesaning, Michigan. HJV's staff has also grown in numbers from an initial half dozen employees to a team of 125 full time employees. As a leader in the specialized agricultural industry, HJV Equipment is looking for talented individuals to join them team, and work with them in their mission to "Help Farmers Feed the World."Job Duties: Diagnose & repair related systems on heavy-duty equipment including diesel engine, manual & automatic transmissions, electrical, emission control systems & drive train using computerized & other testing equipment
Test repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and to meet manufacturer specifications
Perform equipment inspections using diagnostic equipment & preventative maintenance including fluid & filter checks & changes, lubricating equipment & testing batteries
Test repaired equipment for proper performance of mechanical, electrical & hydraulic systems and ensure equipment operations meets manufacturers' specifications
Keep maintenance recordsRequirements3 - 5 years of related experience as a Heavy Duty Equipment TechnicianSome secondary school education. Completion of a post-secondary diploma in a related field (heavy-duty equipment mechanic or diesel mechanic) will be considered an asset but not mandatory.Work experience preferred in lieu of formal educational requirementsBenefitsAt HJV Equipment, you will enjoy competitive compensation, a safe and healthy work environment, and a full range of benefits:
