Are you passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience by troubleshooting and maintaining a variety of Vermeer and other heavy equipment? We're looking for a self-starter who enjoys hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting.
What you will do
Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures or malfunctions to reduce customer downtime
Test repaired equipment for performance and reliability
Perform regularly scheduled maintenance on all customer equipment
Review factory service bulletins and other pertinent information to ensure equipment is up to date
Convey a professional presence, ensuring problems are tactfully explained and customer relations are satisfied
Ensure problems are tactfully explained and the customer is satisfied
Prepare job estimates in accordance with work schedules and promised completion dates, effects necessary mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic repairs, as required
Maintain a familiarity with the practical operation of all equipment
Ensures Ministry of Transportation requirements are adhered to, including daily logs and trip inspections
Maintains and leaves all work areas clean, unobstructed, in a safe and orderly working condition
Adheres to all Company policies and procedures, with particular emphasis on health and safety
Attends and participates in toolbox/safety meetings
What we are looking for
Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision
Strong communication skills and desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience
Detail-orientated, consistently going above and beyond to deliver high-quality work
Strong hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical troubleshooting skills
Experience as a Journeyman or 4th year Heavy Equipment Technician/Apprentice preferred
Previous experience with Vermeer, Cat, John Deere, Ditch Witch, Case and other Horizontal Drilling equipment is an asset
Valid driver's license. Class 3 or 5 preferred.
Travel
Significant travel is expected of this position.
