Heavy Duty Mechanic Apprentice

We are currently looking for a

Heavy Duty Apprentice Mechanic

to assist our maintenance team in Revelstoke. The successful candidate will be an individual with a flexible schedule to work with our teams across multiple civil construction projects throughout British Columbia.

Expectations

Self -starter who can listen to direction and work independently. Strong work ethic, reliable and positive team attitude. Ability to understand and effectively use repair and parts manuals written in English. Physically capable of performing the duties of the position. Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored. Complete reports, work orders, order parts and perform other administrative duties as required daily. Performing other duties as required. Must participate and develop Safe Work Procedures.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired. Set up in the BC apprentice program is an asset but not required. We are willing to work with someone who wants to get into the industry on a trial basis. Welding experience is a definite asset. Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Air Brake endorsement would be an asset). * Experience with construction equipment is desired but not required.
